मैं जानता हूँ कि आपको किसी topic पर वार्तालाप करने में परेशानी होती होगी; आज आप इस पोस्ट में एक नए टॉपिक पर अंग्रेजी में वार्तालाप (Conversation in English) करना सीखेंगे ।

माया : थैंक्यू पप्पू ! और तुम्हें भी नया साल बहुत-बहुत मुबारक हो( Thank you Pappu, and a very-very happy new year to you too)
पप्पू : अहा, तुम्हारे पास कितना सुन्दर 2018 का कैलेंडर है, कहाँ से मिला यह तुम्हें ? ( Ah ! You have got such a beautiful 2018 calendar. Where did you get it from ? )
माया : मेरे परचून वाले ने दिया । ( My grocer gave it.) तुम इसे ले सकते हो, ( You can take it, ) अगर यह तुम्हें पसंद है । ( If you like it. )
पप्पू : ओह वाकई ! बहुत-बहुत शुक्रिया । ( Oh really ! Thank you so much.)
माया : स्वागत है… अच्छा पप्पू, तुम्हें पता है वर्तमान इंटरनेशनल कैलेंडर को क्या कहते हैं ? ( You are welcome…Well Pappu, do you know what the current international calendar is called ? )
पप्पू : कोई आइडिया नहीं । तुम बता सकती हो ? ( No idea. Can you tell ? )
माया: हां ये ग्रेगेरियन कैलेंडर है । ( Yes it is the Gregorian calendar. )
पप्पू : ओह, ग्रेगेरियन ? पर क्यों ? क्या यह किसी ग्रेगरी द्वारा इनवेंट किया गया था ? ( Oh, Gregorian ? But why ? Was it invented by some Gregory.)
माया : नहीं, ये असल में एक इटैलिएन डॉक्टर एलोयसियस लिलियस द्वारा कल्पना किया गया था, ( No, It was actually conceived by an Italian doctor Aloysius Lilius.)
पर इसे लागू पोप ग्रेगरी XIII द्वारा जारी किया गया था । ( But it was decreed by Pope Gregory XIII.) इस प्रकार यह ग्रेगेरियन कैलेंडर कहलाया जाने लगा । ( Thus it came to be called the Gregorian calendar.)
पप्पू : ग्रेट ! वैसे ये कब हुआ था । ( Great ! By the way, when did that happen ? )
माया : 24 फरवरी 1582 को । ( On 24th February, 1582.)

पप्पू : ठीक है बढ़िया, पर उसके पहले क्या ? ( Okay fine, but what about before that ? )
माया : उससे पहले जूलियन कैलेंडर था । ( Earlier, there was the Julian calendar ) वो जूलियस सीज़र द्वारा इंट्रोड्यूस किया गया था और उसके पहले रोमन कैलेंडर हुआ करता था । ( That was introduced by Julius Caesar, and before that, there used to be the Roman calendar.)
पप्पू : ग्रेट ! और जानती हो ? ईसामसीह का जन्म पूरे ईसाई जगत में एक लैंडमार्क बन गया । ( Great ! And you know ? Birth of Jesus Christ became a landmark in the whole of Christian world.)
उन्होने वर्षों की ए.डी. यानी एनो डॉमिनी तथा बी.सी. या बिफोर क्राइस्ट के रुप में शुरु कर दी । ( They started numbering the years as A.D. for Anno Domini and B.C. for Before Christ. Right ?
माया : बिल्कुल ! और मुसलमान हर तरफ हिज्री कैलेंडर इस्तेमाल करतें हैं । ( Absolutely ! And Muslims everywhere use the Hijri Calendar.)
वे अपने पवित्र दिन और त्योहार खासतौर पर उसी के अनुसार कैलकुलेट करते हैं । ( They especially calculate their holidays and festivals by that.)
पप्पू : और हिंदू ? उनका भी अपना कैलेंडर है ? ( And Hindus ? They too have a calendar of their own ? ) पता है कौन सा ? ( You know which one ? )
माया : बिल्कुल, इसे शक कैलेंडर कहते हैं । ( Of course, It is called Saka calendar.)
पप्पू : सही है, अच्छा माया, अब नये साल के रिजोल्यूशन ( संकल्प ) के बारे में । ( That’s right, Okay Maya, now about new year resolutions.) तुम्हारा रिजोल्यूशन इस साल का क्या है ? ( What’s your resolution this year ? )
माया : मेरा रिजोल्यूशन ( संकल्प ) है अपनी भाषा शैली को जितना हो सके बेहतर बनाना, और तुम्हारा ? ( My resolution is to improve My language skills as much as possible. And yours ? )
पप्पू : अच्छा, अगर तुम पूछ ही रहे हो तो बता दूँ, ( Well, if you ask me, let me tell you.) मैंने बड़ी गंभीरता से ये निर्णय लिया है कि मैं बातें कम और काम ज्यादा करुँगा । ( I have solemnly decided to talk less and work More.)
माया : वाकई ? तुम सीरियस हो ? ( Really ? Are you serious ? ) अगर हां तो तुम इस साल ढ़ेर सारा पैसा बचाने वाले हो । ( If yes, you are going to save a lie of money this year.)
पप्पू : पैसा बचाना ? वो कैसे ? ( Save money ? How’s that ? )
माया : तुम्हारा मोबाइल बिल निश्चित रुप से कम से कम 75℅ घट जाएगा । ( Your mobile bill will definitely come down by at least 75 per cent. )
पप्पू : वेरी फनी ! ( Very funny ! ), अच्छा, दीदी, मैं चलता हूँ, कल हम फिर किसी नए टॉपिक पर बात करेंगे ।
माया : ठीक है, पप्पू !
