It was a while ago; A boy named Mridul used to take care of himself and his family by littering the streets of the village and the city.
वह सुबह और शाम खुद की किस्मत को कोसता रहता था; वह गरीब तो था ही साथ ही वह जीवन से हारा हुआ और लाचार था. [Good morals for a story]
He used to curse his own luck morning and evening; He was poor and at the same time he was lifeless and helpless.
एक दिन वह एक गली में कड़ा उठा रहा था कि उसकी नज़र कूड़े के ढेर में पड़े एक सफेद चुहे पर पड़ी जो हमारे घर में मिलने वाले चुहों से बिल्कुल अलग दिख रहा था.
One day he was picking up garbage in a street when he caught sight of a white mouse lying in the garbage heap which looked completely different from the ones we find in our house.
मृदुल नाम के लड़के ने गली से कूड़ा उठाया और चूहे को नजरअंदाज करके वहाँ चल दिया; उसे नहीं पता था कि चूहा भी उसके पीछे-पीछे उसके घर तक चला आया.
A boy named Mridul picked up the garbage from the street and walked away ignoring the mouse; He did not know that the mouse also followed him to his house. [Good morals for a story]
उसने चूहे को देखकर कहा कि तुम यहाँ क्यों चले आए; चूहे ने कहा – तुम एक ईमानदार और अच्छे लड़के हो; तुम मुझे पसंद आए इसलिए मैं तुम्हारे पीछे-पीछे यहाँ चला आया.
He looked at the mouse and said why did you come here; The mouse said – You are an honest and good boy; I like you so I followed you here.
चूहे ने आगे कहा – हम हर दिन तुम्हारे जैसे गरीब लोगों के घर में जाकर देखते हैं; गरीबी उन्हें उतना परेशान नहीं करती जितना गरीब होने का अफसोस और लाचारी उन्हें मार देती है [Good morals for a story]
The mouse further said – We see every day in the house of poor people like you; Poverty doesn’t bother them as much as the regret and helplessness of being poor kills them
चूहे ने आगे कहा – जो किस्मत में होता है; वह किसी न किसी बहाने मिल ही जाता है; बस हमें प्रयास करते रहना चाहिए.
The mouse further said – that which is in luck; He gets it on some pretext or the other; We just have to keep trying.
मृदुल नाम के लड़के ने कहा – क्या मेरी भी किस्मत बदल सकती है? क्या मेरे हालात सुधर सकते हैं? क्या मैं भी अमीर बन सकता हूँ? क्या मुझे एक सुन्दर पत्नी मिल सकती है? [Good morals for a story]
A boy named Mridul said – Can my luck change too? Can my situation improve? Can I be rich too? Can I have a beautiful wife?
चूहे ने कहा – इन सारे सवालों का जवाब तुम्हें सिर्फ एक आदमी दे सकता है – और वो हैं बुद्ध; जाओ और जाकर उनसे अपने सवालों के जवाब ले लो.
The mouse said – only one man can give you the answer to all these questions – and that is Buddha; Go and get them to answer your questions.
मृदुल चूहे के बताए गए दिशा की ओर बुद्ध से मिलने निकल पड़ा.
Mridul set out to meet Buddha in the direction indicated by the mouse.
जब वह रास्ते में जा रहा था, तो उसकी नज़र एक औरत पर पड़ी जो अपनी सुंदर लड़की के साथ बैठी हुई थी; और वह बहुत दुखी लग रही थी. [Good morals for a story]
When he was on his way, he caught sight of a woman who was sitting with her beautiful girl; And she looked very sad.
मृदुल उस औरत के पास जाकर उससे दुखी होने का कारण पूछा तो उस औरत ने कहा – मेरी बेटी बहुत सुन्दर पर अंधी होने की वजह से इसकी शादी नहीं हो पा रही है; इसकी चिन्ता मुझे खाए जा रही है.
Mridul went to that woman and asked her the reason for her sadness, then the woman said – My daughter is very beautiful but she is not able to get married because of her blindness; This worry is eating me up.
उस औरत ने मृदुल से पूछा कि वह कहाँ जा रहा है?
The woman asked Mridul where is he going?
मृदुल ने कहा – मैं बुद्ध से मिलने जा रहा हूँ; मेरे कुछ सवाल हैं जिनके जवाब उनके पास हैं.
Mridul said – I am going to meet Buddha; I have some questions for which he has answers.
उस दुखी औरत ने कहा – बेटा, जब तुम बुद्ध से मिलना तो उनसे पुछना कि मेरी बेटी कब देख पाएगी. [Good morals for a story]
The sad woman said – Son, when you meet Buddha, ask him when will my daughter be able to see.
मृदुल ने कहा – ठीक है, मैं बुद्ध से मिलकर इस सवाल का जवाब मांगूंगा.
Mridul said – OK, I will meet Buddha and ask for an answer to this question.
कुछ दुरी तय करने के बाद मृदुल एक साधू से मिला जो बर्फ से ढके पर्वत पर 1000 साल से तपस्या कर रहा था. [Good morals for a story]
After traveling some distance, Mridul met a sage who had been doing penance for 1000 years on a mountain covered with snow.
जब उसे पता चला कि मृदुल बुद्ध से मिलने जा रहा है तो उसने मृदुल से कहा – अगर तुम मेरे एक सवाल का जवाब बुद्ध से पुछकर आओ तो मैं तुम्हें इस जादुई छड़ी की मदद से इस विशाल पर्वत के उस पार पहुंचा दूंगा.
When he came to know that Mridul was going to meet Buddha, he said to Mridul – If you come to the Buddha to answer one of my questions, then I will take you across this huge mountain with the help of this magic wand.
मृदुल ने कहा – वह सवाल क्या है तो उस साधू ने बताया कि वह 1000 साल से तपस्या कर रहा है पर व स्वर्ग नहीं पहुंच पाया; बुद्ध से पूछना कि मैं स्वर्ग कब पहुंचूंगा. [Good morals for a story]
Mridul said – what is that question, then that sage told that he has been doing penance for 1000 years but he could not reach heaven; Asking Buddha when I will reach heaven.
मृदुल ने कहा – ठीक है, मैं पूछ लूंगा; मुझे यह पर्वत पार करवा दीजिए; साधू ने अपनी जादुई छड़ी घुमाई और मृदुल विशाल पर्वत के पार आ गया.
Mridul said – OK, I will ask; Let me cross this mountain; The monk swung his magic wand and Mridul came across the huge mountain.
वह कुछ ही दूर चला होगा कि उसके सामने एक बहुत बड़ी नदी थी; वह नदी पार करे तो कैसे?
He must have walked a short distance that there was a huge river in front of him; How can he cross the river?
वह चिंता में नदी के किनारे बैठ गया; कुछ समय बाद उसकी नज़र एक कछुए पर पड़ी; कछुआ बड़ा था; उसने कछुए से कहा कि क्या तुम मुझे नदी पार करवा दोगे. [Good morals for a story]
He sat down by the river in worry; After some time he caught sight of a tortoise; The tortoise was big; He said to the tortoise that will you make me cross the river.
कछुए ने कहा – तुम्हें जाना कहाँ है?
The turtle said – where do you want to go?
मृदुल ने कहा – मैं नदी के उस पार बुद्ध से मिलने जा रहा हूँ; मेरे कुछ सवाल हैं जिनके जवाब उनके पास है [morals story]
Mridul said – I am going to meet Buddha on the other side of the river; I have some questions he has answers
कछुए ने कहा – मैं तुम्हें नदी पार करवा दूंगा; पर मेरा भी एक सवाल है; जब तुम बुद्ध से मिलना तो जरुर पूछना.
The turtle said – I will make you cross the river; But I also have a question; When you meet Buddha, you must ask.
मृदुल ने कहा – हाँ, मिलूंगा और तुम्हारा सवाल जरूर पूछूंगा; पर तुम्हारा सवाल क्या है? [morals story]
Mridul said – Yes, I will meet him and I will definitely ask your question; But what is your question?
कछुए ने कहा – बुद्ध से पुछना; मैं ड्रैगन कब बनूंगा?
The turtle said – ask Buddha; When will I become a dragon?
मृदुल कछुए की बात मान गया और कछुए ने नदी पार करवा दिया; नदी पार करने के बाद एक लम्बी दूरी तय करके बुद्ध के पास पहुंचा. [Good morals for a story]
Mridul agreed to the tortoise and made the tortoise cross the river; After crossing the river, after traveling a long distance, reached Buddha.
उसने बुद्ध से कहा कि वह कुछ सवालों के जवाब चाहता है; तो बुद्ध ने कहा – मैं तुम्हारे सिर्फ तीन सवालों का ही जवाब दूंगा; पूछो. [morals story]
He told the Buddha that he wanted answers to some questions; So Buddha said – I will answer only three of your questions; Ask.
मृदुल सोचने लगा कि सिर्फ तीन सवालों के जवाब पर उसके पास कई सवाल हैं; उसने अपने बारे में न पूछकर रास्ते में मिलने वाले तीन लोगों के सवालों को पूछने का निर्णय लिया.
Mridul started thinking that he had many more questions on answering just three questions; Instead of asking about himself, he decided to ask questions of three people he met on the way.
मृदुल ने बुद्ध से कहा – जब मैं रास्ते में आ रहा था तो मुझे एक औरत मिली; वह अपने सुंदर लड़की को लेकर बहुत परेशान है – वह सुदंर तो है पर अंधी होने की वजह से उसकी शादी नहीं हो पा रही है; उस औरत ने पूछा है कि उसकी लड़की कब देख पाएगी? [Good morals for a story]
Mridul said to Buddha – When I was on the way, I met a woman; She is very worried about her beautiful girl – she is beautiful but because of her blindness, she is unable to get married; The woman has asked when will her girl be able to see?
बुद्ध ने कहा – जैसे ही उसकी शादी होगी; वह देखने लगेगी; चलो, दूसरा सवाल पूछो.
Buddha said – as soon as she gets married; She will look; Come on, ask another question.
मृदुल ने कहा – मुझे रास्ते में एक साधू मिला जो स्वर्ग जाने के लिए 1000 साल से तपस्या कर रहा है; उसने पूछा है कि वह स्वर्ग कब जाएगा? [Good morals for a story]
Mridul said – I met a sage on the way who has been doing penance for 1000 years to go to heaven; He has asked when will he go to heaven?
बुद्ध ने कहा – जिस दिन वह साधू अपने हांथ से वह जादुई छड़ी छोड़ देगा; वह स्वर्ग चला जाएगा; तुम्हारा तीसरा सवाल क्या है? [morals story]
Buddha said – the day the sage will release that magic wand from his hand; He will go to heaven; What is your third question?
मृदुल बोला – मेरा तीसरा सवाल; रास्ते में मुझे एक कछुआ मिला जिसने मुझे नदी पार करवाई; उसका सवाल है कि वह ड्रैगन कब बनेगा?
Mridul said – My third question; On the way I met a tortoise who led me across the river; His question is when will he become a dragon?
बुद्ध ने कहा – जिस दिन वह अपने शरीर से अपना कवच उतार देगा; उस दिन वह ड्रैगन बन जाएगा.
Buddha said – the day he will take off his armor from his body; That day he will become a dragon.
मृदुल बुद्ध से अपने तीनों सवाल के जवाब पाने के बाद वहाँ से चल पड़ा; सबसे पहले रास्ते में कछुआ मिला; उस कछुए ने कहा – बुद्ध ने मेरे सवाल का क्या जवाब दिया ? [morals story]
Mridul left from there after getting answers to his three questions from Buddha; First a turtle was found on the way; The tortoise said – What answer did Buddha give to my question?
मृदुल ने कछुए से कहा – जिस दिन तुम अपना कवच उतार दोगे; उस दिन तुम ड्रैगन बन जाओगे.
Mridul said to the tortoise – the day you take off your armor; On that day you will become a dragon.मृदुल के कहने पर कछुए ने अपना कवच उतार दिया; कवच के अंदर ढेर सारे बहुमूल्य कीमती मोतियां थीं जो मृदुल को मिल गयीं; और कछुआ ड्रैगन बन गया.
At the behest of Mridul, the tortoise took off his armor; Inside the armor were a lot of precious pearls that Mridul found; And the tortoise became the dragon.
जब मृदुल साधू से मिला तो साधू ने कहा कि बुद्ध ने उसके सवाल का क्या जवाब दिया?
When Mridul met the monk, the monk said that what did the Buddha answer to his question?
मृदुल ने कहा – जिस दिन आप अपने हांथ में पड़ी जादुई छड़ी को छोड़ देंगे; उस दिन आप स्वर्ग चले जाएंगे. [Good morals for a story]
Mridul said – the day you will release the magic wand lying in your hand; On that day you will go to heaven.
साधू ने तुरंत छड़ी छोड़ दी; और वह स्वर्ग चला गया; उसकी जादुई छड़ी मृदुल को मिल गया.
The monk immediately released the stick; and he went to heaven; Mridul got his magic wand.
अब बारी थी उस दुखी औरत की; जब मृदुल उस दुखी औरत से मिला तो वह दुखी औरत ने पूछा कि बुद्ध ने उसके सवाल का क्या जवाब दिया?
Now it was the turn of the sad woman; When Mridul met the sad woman, the sad woman asked that what was the answer of Buddha to her question?
मृदुल ने कहा – जिस दिन आप अपनी बेटी की शादी करेंगी; उस दिन वह देखने लगेगी. [Good morals for a story]
Mridul said – the day you will marry your daughter; She will start seeing that day.
उस औरत ने अपनी बेटी की शादी मृदुल से ही कर दी; जैसे ही शादी हुयी; वह सुंदर लड़की देखने लगी.
The woman married her daughter to Mridul; As soon as the marriage took place; that beautiful girl started looking.
मृदुल ने बुद्ध से अपने एक भी सवाल का जवाब नहीं मांगा फिर भी उसे उसके सारे सवालों के जवाब मिल गए थें; करोड़ों का धन मतलब मोती, सुंदर पत्नी और ताकत मतलब जादुई छड़ी; अब उसके पास सब कुछ था. [Good morals for a story]
Mridul did not ask Buddha to answer any of his questions, yet he had got answers to all his questions; Millions of wealth means pearl, beautiful wife and strength means magic wand; Now he had everything.
हम भगवान से कुछ मांगे या ना मांगे; वो हमारी सारी जरुरतों को अच्छे से जानते हैं; अगर हम प्रयास करते रहेंगे तो वो किसी न किसी बहाने हमें सब कुछ दे देंगे [Good morals for a story]
Whether we ask God or not ask for anything; He knows all our needs very well; If we keep trying, they will give us everything on some pretext or the other.
यदि आप वाकई जीवन में कुछ हासिल करना चाहते हैं; तो आपको उस भगवान पर पूरे दिल से भरोसा करना होगा कि वो आपके साथ कुछ भी गलत नहीं होने देंगे.[Good morals for a story]

वो परिस्थितियों में सिर्फ इसलिए उलझाते हैं ताकि हम अंदर से इतने मजबूत बन सकें कि जीवन में आने वाली विषम परिस्थितियों का सामना कर सकें; और जीवन में आगे बढ़ सकें;
आप जो सोचते हैं; जो करते हैं; सब पर भगवान की नज़र होती है; इसलिए हमें जीवन जो भी हासिल होता है; वो हमारी सोच का ही नतीजा होता है; यदि हम बेहतर तरीके से सोचें; और बेहतर काम करें; तो हमें रिजल्ट भी वैसा ही मिलेगा।
कुछ लोगों को रिजल्ट जल्दी मिल जाता है; और कुछ लोगों को बहुत ज्यादा समय लग जाता है; इस प्रक्रिया में आपका कोई रोल नहीं है; क्योंकि कर्म करना हमारे हांथ में है; पर उसका रिजल्ट मिलना भगवान तय करते हैं।
